biography:

I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach 1^st grade at Holy Ghost.

I was born in New Orleans and grew up in River Ridge.  The youngest of 8 children in a devout Catholic family, I attended a Catholic elementary and high school as well.  In 1989 I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of New Orleans.

After marrying my husband, Severn, I worked for several years in the health insurance industry.  My last position in this field was as a Provider Representative for Ochsner Health Plan.  I was responsible for educating physicians and their office staff on the benefits and procedures associated with their contracts with the health plan.

I was a stay-at-home Mom from 1998 to 2006.  My daughter, Virginia began attending Holy Ghost in 2002.  I substituted often that first year and was amazed at the feeling of family among the staff.  My son, Sev was born in 2003 and I was not yet ready to return to the working world. 

Finally, last year, I was called by God to work at Holy Ghost.  I was blessed to be the 1^st grade assistant during the 2006-2007 school year.  I was very fortunate to be able to observe and assist all four of the wonderful and skilled 1^st grade teachers.   I look forward to many years of teaching our beautiful children at Holy Ghost and am thrilled to be a part of the family.
