When asked what brought Mrs. Gambel to
Holy Ghost she explained that it was truly the hand of God.
"When my husband and I first moved to the area we lived in
Ponchatoula and were parishioners at St. Joseph Catholic Church. I
went to register my son for first grade at St. Joseph's and they
explained that he would be put on a waiting list and
probably would not get in. THEY suggested I come to Holy Ghost
and register him here...they sent me right over....I came and got
the last spot for first grade...someone that day had dropped out and
I was blessed to get the spot. Spending time with my son
in his classroom allowed me to experience the "Holy Ghost
Spirit" first hand and I knew I wanted to be a part of this
school not only as a parent but in the classroom. When
the summer approached I applied for a job, any job, that would allow
me to be part of the dynamic team here at Holy Ghost. I love
the staff, the parents, the priests and most importantly the
students of Holy Ghost. They fill my heart with joy and
happiness and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to have them
all as an everyday part of my life!!"
