Kelly Comeaux is the Art Teacher at Holy Ghost School. Kelly attended St. Christopher School in Metairie, Louisiana from K-8th grade. After graduating from St. Christopher School, Kelly attended Covington High School in Covington, Louisiana. She graduated C.H.S. in May of 2000. August of 2000 through May 2004, Kelly attended Southeastern Louisiana University and graduated with a BA in Visual Arts with a concentration in painting.

Kelly received a scholarship to attend the Art Institute of Houston for Interior architecture. After a year of studying in Houston, Kelly returned to Southeastern Louisiana University and received her art education certification for grades K-12th.

Kelly intends to continue her education by eventually receiving a Masters in Fine Arts. It is important for Kelly to always continue educating herself so that she can be better prepared to educate others.

Kelly has been academically trained in acrylic and oil panting. She has also been academically trained in sculpture, ceramics, photography and in digital arts. Not only trained in studio art, Kelly has an extensive background in studying art history. She studied art history abroad in Italy with SLU in the summer of 2002.

Kelly has exhibited her work in Clark Hall Gallery and has coordinated an art opening for the Covington Art Walk.

Kelly was called by her faith to teach art at Holy Ghost this year, 2006-2007. Kelly prayed about making the right decision on where she should teach and she felt nothing matched up to the people and the sense of community that Holy Ghost offered her. Kelly feels very blessed by God to have this opportunity to teach for such a wonderful school.
