Megan Morgan is a third grade teacher at Holy
Ghost School. Megan attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School
in Kenner for her early years of education. She then moved with her
family to Pensacola, Florida and attended public school while living
there. Right before high school she moved back to the New Orleans area
and chose to attend Archbishop Chapelle High School in Metairie, LA.
As you can see a Catholic Education has always been important to her
and her family. After graduating from high school Megan attended
Southeastern Louisiana University for college where she received a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications and a Minor
in Marketing. After college Megan received a job opportunity
with a non-profit organization. She loved helping people and couldn't
imagine having a job where she did not get to do that everyday.
However, she came to realize she wanted to help kids and she wasn't
getting to do that at her non-profit job. She realized that the job
she had chosen was not very family oriented and she wanted to one-day
start a family. This is when she decided to become a teacher. Megan is starting her third year of teaching. She
has taught fifth grade at Mater Dolorosa and fourth grade at Twin Oaks
Elementary School in Baton Rouge. She feels that becoming the new
third grade teacher at Holy Ghost was truly a gift from God and a
blessing that she could not get anywhere else. Megan has been trained
in Write form the Beginning, Kagan Structures, Boys and Girls Town,
and LEAP testing facilitating and tutoring. Megan has a loving husband and a 2-year-old
daughter named Baily. Megan is extremely proud of her family. She
hopes to touch each and every child she teaches in a positive way. She
is so excited to be part of the Holy Ghost Family!
