Spanish Teacher 1st,2nd 3rd and 4th
Michelle Scott born and raised in New
Orleans, LA. Her parents are from Leon, Nicaragua ,
therefore speaks fluent Spanish. She attended Crescent City
Baptist High School and graduated with her BA in Speech Language and
Hearing at Nicholls State University. At NSU, she was a member
of Tri Sigma Sorority.
Prior to graduating she assited Speech
Therapist in Lafouche, Parish by attending IEP meetings,therapy
sessions and testing with children/families that needed help with
translation.
Scott moved to Hammond, LA to work on
graduate work in SLP. She worked in St. Tammany for one year at
William Pitcher and Fountainbleau High School as a SLP assistant.
Michelle joined Holy Ghost Faculty in
September 2005,after being home raising her children for 10 years.
She teaches Spanish for the lower elementary grades.
She has been on HGS Home and School
Committee for five years and is currently one of the sponsors for
Youth Ministry for 5th and 6th graders.
Scott resides in Hammond with her
husband, Tad. She has three sons: Tyler, Connor and
Preston.They all attend Holy Ghost.
Michelle is passionate about teaching
children about the Spanish language and culture.
