Natalie Ruiz is beginning her first year here at Holy Ghost School, but definitely not a stranger to the faculty, staff and students. After Hurricane Katrina and relocating with her husband, Beau, and her daughter, Kylie, Natalie worked at Holy Ghost as a first grade assistant for the 2005-2006 school year.

Natalie holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education and prior to Katrina she taught fourth grade for three years in the St. Bernard parish public school system. She then came to Holy Ghost to register her daughter, who will be entering first grade this year at Holy Ghost. She found out about the position as the assistant and took the opportunity to further her teaching experiences. She then had her second child Beau Ruiz Jr. during the summer of 2006. After that she continued educating children with her job working for the Head Start program in Covington. Now she is back at Holy Ghost teaching Pre-K and she feels like she is home.
