biography...Salutations! The most important thing you should know about me is that I LOVE TEACHING! It is not only my “chosen” vocation, but my avocation as well. I truly believe God put me in first grade to love, care for and teach your children. 2004 was a memorable year in that it was my first
year on board with the Holy Ghost School and Staff. It has been
a fantastic ride since then! Prior to coming to HGS, I taught
first grade for sixteen years at Visitation of Our Lady, in Marrero,
Louisiana. Earlier in my teaching career, I was also a Navy
wife, which afforded me the opportunity to travel and teach in Hawaii,
California, Colorado and Florida. Teaching in these various
locations allowed me to collect a wealth of different ideas, methods
and materials that reflected each state’s educational philosophy. I hold two degrees: a BED in Secondary Social
Studies from the University of Hawaii, and an Elementary Education
Degree from the University of New Orleans. Organizations, Clubs
and Professional Seminars that I am currently associated with or have
been a member of in the past are:
Kappa Delta Pi Member My favorite thing to do is to snuggle with my
family. I am also wild about traveling! I have traveled
from Brazil to Bangkok, Germany to Japan and can’t think of one
place I would not want to visit and learn about. When not
traveling with my family, I enjoy yelling at football games, reading a
good book, spending time with friends and going to museums.
