biography

Barbara Hudgins is an Administrative Assistant at Holy Ghost School.  Barbara attended school at St Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge from Kindergarten thru High School. After graduating from High School, Barbara attended LSU and then transferred to SLU, where she graduated with a degree in elementary and early childhood education.  Barbara has received her Basis Certification in Religious Education and is presently working on Intermediate Certification.

Barbara served Holy Ghost as a classroom teacher for 20 years in grades 2, 3 and 4. Barbara became an administrator 6 years ago, serving as the school disciplinarian. 

Barbara was named Teacher of the Year for Holy Ghost in 1987 and was named the Brotherhood Sisterhood recipient in 1990.  Barbara was recently honored during Catholic Schools Week for 25 years of service.

Holy Ghost is a special place for Barbara.  Each member of our school family has become like her own family away from home. The children of Holy Ghost are very dear to Barbara’s heart, for they allow her to experience life through their eyes each and every day.
