Yesterday the HGS 4-H club wrapped and packed 20 gift boxes for the Samaritan's Purse: Operation Christmas Child.  We supplied gifts for 10 boys and 10 girls in the age group 5-9 years old.  Each of these boxes have a tracking number and we will be able to find out what country our boxes are distributed.  The items requested were toothbrushes, socks, coloring books, colors, pencils, balls, teddy bears and puzzles so that is what each box contained.  This week was National Collection week so we personally delivered our donation to the River Road Fellowship Church in Hammond where they were so appreciative.  The group of volunteers took our picture and educated us even further on the importance of this project and we prayed for the children that receive these boxes and the children that packaged them.  This was a very interactive service project for our 4-H club.  Thank you all for your support in spreading the news.
