The 4-H club worked on their team building skills at their December meeting by putting together gingerbread villages.

Members of the HGS 4-H club participated in a parish event in Amite. Dominic Muguira and Paisley Collett performed in the Talent show and both received ribbons. Reese Fitzhugh, Eliza Foster and Abbey Lejeune entered in the Seafood Cookery and all relieved ribbons. Dominic also entered the 4-H "field of opportunity" poster contest. The HGS 4-H club donated Christmas gifts to a resident of the Evergreen Life Services (formerly known as Hammond State School).

At the November 4-H meeting, the students stuffed pairs of clean socks with personal hygiene items

and snacks to donate to Quad Veterans.

29 students attended the October meeting. The kids were able to submit a real pumpkin that was either carved or painted.  We had 13 carved and 12 painted. Our club earned 50 points for participating and each student earned individual points according to their places.

Congratulations to our 4-H fair winners!
